9日，在广东省政府新闻发布会上透露，截至9日中午12时，广东省累计报告新型冠状病毒感染的肺炎确诊病例1131例。广东新组建了2支共433人的医疗队，9日当天启程驰援湖北。广东各界累计捐赠款物24.9亿元，已累计捐赠湖北口罩1409万个，全力支援湖北抗疫。广东还对境外捐赠防疫物资免征关税。
