World Health Day, which falls on Wednesday, is focusing on building a fairer, healthier world for everyone. This World Health Day, WHO is calling for action to eliminate health inequities. Due to the conditions in which people are born, grow, live, work and age, some people are able to live healthier lives and have better access to health services than others. The COVID-19 pandemic has put this into the spotlight even further.
